October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month...
I know what you're all thinking. Why is a guy worried about breast cancer?
In 2003 I lost the most wonderful woman in my life, my mother, to breast cancer.
Please, I know times are tough and the money is tight... If you only donate to one charity this year, please donate to the Susan G Komen foundation and together we can find a cure.

Our local Junior hockey team plays a 'Paint the Rink Pink' game every year as a charity event for our local hospital. We went last year and had a ball and K is taking half of a shift off for us to go this year. In three years (maybe only two?), they have raised over $35,000 for cancer patients through auctioning off game-worn jerseys, etc. I'm hoping to get my hands on a jersey this year! A very worthy cause, indeed.
So RT does have a sensative side
Cmk: Most definitely a worthy cause. I hope you get that jersey and they find a cure at the same time!
RH: Yeah, but don't spread it around work because it'll ruin my persona of a heartless bastard.
RT, never mind your work persona. It's the women at the Tiki bar you should be worried about, it seems! Heh heh
FE: So very true!
Yeah, it can be beaten. My MIL got diagnosed 15 years ago...Today she is fit as a fiddle (and still smoking!) Cancer is being beaten back little by little....
I donate every year to Breast Cancer charities - it is a worthy cause. I'm sorry about your loss of your Mom - I lost mine in 2003 as well - my hero and best friend. Thank you for your post.
