Global warming my ass!

Al Gore can kiss my white Irish ass.
Two weeks ago we had about five days worth of sunny, warm days with high temperatures in the mid-70's. It was nice and made me look forward to the first days of spring. So Monday was the first day of spring, and do we have warmer days?
Fuck no.
Last night I walked to work in a blinding sleet-snow mix with temps hovering around 20 F. I get to work and the battery in my patrol vehicle is stone-dead. I finally get that jumped after a half-hour standing in the freezing shit coming down and started my shift. It snowed all night, supposed to snow all day and now I hear they're calling for more snow on Thursday.
Enough is enough already! It's spring! I saw a robin this morning, and boy did he look mightily confused.
I for one am sick of winter. I'm looking forward to warmer days. I'm sick to death of going to bed when it's dark and waking when it's dark. Hell, I haven't seen the sun in two weeks. I'm getting Vitamin A deficient.
Ok. I'm done with my rant.
I'm feeling much better now so all of you may now go about your business.

Maybe you should move South - where it's ALWAYS hot and we'd actually like to see a little snow...and where we see the direct effects of global warming in the increased frequency of the hurricanes (fueled by warmer waters) that continue to pound away at us...
But yeah, continuous snow would probably suck too...

I for one love the snow. But when it snows just enough to cover the ground(like it has done all year long) it pisses me off) All i wanted is one good 2-3 ft blizzard to drive my Jeep in. Is that too much to ask? I think not, but apparently that isin't going to happen so yeah I'm sick of it too. I want summer back so atleast I can stay in mudholes with my Jeep. This bit of snow here and there is depressing.

The wonderful mystery we call weather.
At least you get snow!
90 degrees in February is not all that great.

Even here in Texas it is cold for us...46 degrees...last week it was in the 80's....I hate cold weather.

It has been cold the past few days too. I miss that beautiful warm weather!

Yeah, we are having a bit of a storm right at the moment--and I thought last week's storm was the last of the year! As for global warming: read Michael Crichton's last book "State of Fear." It has the premise that there is no such animal (as well as other issues)--a good read.

It was warm a couple weeks ago and now it's back to cold here as well..

I'd complain, but ususally there are only two seasons here in Oklahoma: Summer and Christmas...

I think I'll put up with the extra cold snap..

It's the same here in Ga. We had a beautiful day, just a hint of chill in the air. But last week we had near 80s temps. and now that it is officially spring, the weather wants to show us winter. I thought we were supposed to be having an early spring. Crazy, lying little groundhog!

Courtney: I'll move anywhere there's a railroad. It would only be icing on the cake if it was warm all the time too.

Hillbilly: You can keep the snow...

Berly: 90 in Feb? Last time I saw those kinds of temps I was in Central America

Miss Fire: Great bumpersticker I saw once the last time I was in the Orange State: "Would the last American out of Florida please take the flag?"

Honkeie: I'll keep the snow here if you promise to keep the landfills there?

Cheryl: Ain't she though?

Sherri: You and me both.

ahamilton: I've been to your part of Texas before and 46 is cold for there

Lisa: Don't worry, you'll be in tornado season soon enough

Cmk: That's definately on my "To Read" list...

Red: I did my basic training at Ft. Sill Oklahoma in January & February. I know it's been some time, but I remember distinctly freezing my balls off the entire time I was there.

Outdoorsygirl: I think we should take that lying little shit of a groundhog and shoot the bastard. Then we can have a nice groundhog stew to keep us warm!

Ok, so it's not snowing here in San Antonio, but I'm sick of the cold also. And remember, Daylight Savings Time kicks in next Sunday.
